Tasks it can perform: started dogs taught basic tasks such as nose/paw touch, and targeting that can be shaped into a variety of tasks and alerts. Anxiety/ panic attack alert, learning behavior interruption, orbit/circle. middle. watch my back etc. which can be expanded to crowd control. dpt. has alerted to migraines a few times. Etc. Also knows several basic commands. Could pass the CGC but test has not been given yet.
Gets along with other dogs and cats. and kids. he has grown up around young toddlerswith autism and has learned some past training to help them and has neber had an issue with kids at all. he Is a very neutral dog.
Has started public access training in pet friendly stores and outdoor events. sometimes bark when outdoors and doesn’t know where sound is coming from.
Builds a bond VERY quickly. Always wants to be around handler. Would be ontop of you at all times if he could. But is very neutral towards other people.
What they need to work on: will take a while to settle in. Will be anxious/overly excited and not able to focus for a few days. Will still want to be ontop of you but will pace alot and not be able to listen to all commands in the first several days. His food/ treat drive also goes down in the first few days as he is settling in.
His settling for long periods of time could use work, his heeling is not perfect, could use more public access training.
He has lots of energy and falls in love with his handler quickly and will never want to leave your side. With that being said he has no issues with separation anxiety and will sit in a crate nicely without Any issues. if he is not given a job or any outlet to get his energy out he will pace. he could also love doing dog sports. or being part of an active family if not given a job.
