Description

A tortie point Siamese cat possesses speckled or dappled points that resemble the markings on a tortoise’s shell. These cats were officially recognized as a Siamese breed variation in 1966. Due to the genetic factors governing cat coat color, tortie point Siamese cats are predominantly female. Their dark points exhibit the distinctive tortoiseshell pattern, while their bodies tend to be relatively pale. In the United States, these cats are commonly referred to as “Colorpoint.” The Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA) granted authorization for Colorpoint Shorthairs with tortoiseshell colors to participate in cat shows starting in 1969. Siamese cats typically possess a slender and graceful physique, characterized by long legs and a lengthy tail. Their blue eyes remain unaltered. The lineage of a litter of kittens can be traced back to their parents. The mother, known as the Dam, has a white coat adorned with orange tabby spots, while the father, referred to as the Sire, is a purebred Siamese displaying a seal point coat. Siamese cats are known for their active and playful nature. They possess abundant energy and derive immense joy from engaging with interactive toys and games.
